Abstract ALUMINUM 6053 is a wrought aluminum alloy that can be hardened and strengthened by aging. It is characterized by moderate strength, good formability and excellent resistance to corrosion. This alloy is used widely for rivets. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear strength as well as fatigue. It also includes information on high temperature performance and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Al-131.
