Abstract ALUMINUM 5056 is a non-heat-treatable wrought aluminum-magnesium-manganese-chromium alloy possessing high strength and ductility along with good hot and cold workability. It is recommended for such applications as rivets and screen wire. It may be used with or without cladding. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, tensile properties, and shear strength as well as fatigue. It also includes information on low and high temperature performance, and corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, and joining. Filing Code: Al-126.
