Abstract
Comprehensive care for hemophilia patients has clearly demonstrated that it is cost effective and offers the patient a better, more active life. However, the cost of underwriting the core personnel has not been adequately addressed or resolved.Alternatives are presented which include a) federal or state support, b) third party reimbursement mechanisms, c) liaisons with blood programs and, d) cost overrides on product.
