Abstract
In recent years the idea of "classical" and "nonclassical" psychology has again become the subject of lively discussion. D. B. Elkonin considered L. S. Vygotsky to be the founder of nonclassical psychology. The author makes it clear that cultural-historical and nonclassical psychology count as one and the same. Continuing along the course set for us by nonclassical (cultural-historical) psychology, justifies talking about its next stage of development, which can be called "alternative psychology."
