Abstract

Bacterial Meningitis is an acute purulent infection of the leptomeninges in the subarachnoid space, most commonly caused by Streptococcus pneumonia, Neisseria meningitidis, and Haemophilus influenzae. A variety of complications originate from a primary focus of bacterial meningitis, but none as severe as cerebrovascular complications.
