Abstract
The $^{6}\mathrm{Li}$(\ensuremath{\alpha},\ensuremath{\alpha}') reaction was studied at ${\mathit{E}}_{\mathrm{\ensuremath{\alpha}}}$=50 MeV. The angular distribution of the continuum region near the $^{6}\mathrm{\ensuremath{\alpha}}$+d breakup threshold (1.475 MeV) was measured for ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\theta}}}_{\mathrm{lab}}$=7\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}--40\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}. The data were analyzed in terms of plane-wave and distorted-wave impulse approximation calculations. To study the possible effects of recombination of the breakup clusters in the exit channel, distorted-wave Born approximation calculations were also performed.
