Abstract

Allium pervariensis, a new species of sect. Allium, is described and illustrated from southeastern Anatolia, Turkey. It is a narrowly distributed geophyte in Siirt Province and its closest relatives are A. pustulosum Boiss. & Hausskn, A. karyeteini Post, but it is clearly differentiated due to outer tunic, perigon, pedicel, leaf and filament, and bracteoles characteristics. In this study, a comprehensive description, detailed illustration of A. pervariensis and distribution map, identification key are provided for A. pervariensis and related taxa.
