Abstract

Consistent with the many energy-centric interests and pioneering contributions by Prof. Bard, this presentation will touch on catalytic electrochemical and photochemical energy conversion as enabled by metal-organic framework (MOF) materials. The presentation will focus on a couple of case studies that illustrate how nominally insulating MOF films can be persuaded to transport charge, deliver photo-generated molecular excitons, and catalytically drive energy-relevant, multi-electron chemical transformations.
