Abstract
Allelopathy activity of aqueous stems extracts of Dalbergia paniculata Roxb. using Vigna radiate L. and Zea mays L. seeds germination has been carried out using pot study. Dalbergia paniculata Roxb. showed positive allelopathy activity because of the large number of allelochemicals such as saponins present in aqueous stems extracts of Dalbergia paniculata Roxb. The investigated results suggested that aqueous stems extracts of Dalbergia paniculata Roxb. have showed positive allelopathic activity in seeds germination. The rate of seeds germination percentage and seedling vigor index increased by increasing the aqueous stems extracts concentration of Dalbergia paniculata Roxb. Therefore, stems extract of Dalbergia paniculata Roxb. can be used as natural fertilizer. By using natural fertilizer, crop production increases and shows better percentage of crop yields. The stems extract of Dalbergia paniculata Roxb. may act as herbicides, pesticides, fungicides because of large amounts of allelochemicals such as saponin present in plant products.
