Abstract
An algorithm has been synthesized for processing ultra-wideband spatio-temporal signals providing the formation of radio images from aircraft. A feature of the algorithm is the implementation of the active-passive mode of operation of the radar, which provides for the emission of an ultra-wideband signal and the processing of reflected signals by methods of passive multi-channel radar with external coherence. This allows to take pictures in the field of view in the direction of ±20° from the nadir. The algorithm generates a radio image of high spatial resolution through the accumulation of the signal during the movement of the aircraft, the use of several spatially separated antennas and a wide frequency band of received signals. A structural diagram of the radar is developed and its operation is simulated. Radar ambiguity functions investigated. Based on them, inverse filters are proposed to improve image quality and the influence of errors in calculating the ambiguity functions on the quality of image filtering is estimated.
