Abstract

This article discusses the contributions of the Austrian philosopher and sociologist Alfred Schutz to the Communication studies, focusing on issues of epistemological and conceptual definition, which involves social interactions and media processes. A reflection on the author's theorizations also takes into account the criticisms that later made about his work.
