Abstract
Abstract A 2-yr-old stand of alfalfa at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center, Wooster, OH was used for this study. Treatments were applied on May 15, 1979 using a tractor-mounted Myers hydraulic sprayer and calibrated to deliver 20 gpa at 20 psi. Plots were 30 ft x 100 ft and arranged in a randomized complete block. Plants were 22 inches at treatment and 32 inches at the completion of the study. Reduction of this light infestation of alfalfa weevil larvae by FMC-35001 was comparable to Furadan at the same rate. Zolone was inferior to the standards of Supracide, Penncap-M and Furadan at comparable rates. No phytotoxicity was noted.
