Abstract

Abstract Insecticides were evaluated in 6-year-stand of ‘Vernal’ alfalfa in Greer County, OK. Plots were 15 X 60 ft arranged in a randomized complete block design replicated 3 times. A single application of 12 insecticides, at various rates, was made on 6 Mar ‘86. Insecticides were applied by ground rig equipped with 15 ft bloom calibrated to deliver 20 gal/acre at 40 psi. Larval densities were determined 4, 7, 14 and 21-days post treatment by collecting 10 stems from each plot and extracting larvae with Berlese funnels.
