Abstract

Abdominal cancer recurrence and postoperative adhesion are main problems in therapy of abdominal cancer. Herein, we report the design and preparation of a nanocomposite hydrogel composed of docetaxel (DTX) loaded albumin nanoparticles and pre-aldehyde hyaluronic acid (AHA) along with carboxymethyl chitosan (CMC). The hydrogel exhibited favorable adhesive ability and anti-cell or protein adsorption. It would release nanoparticles and drugs in a controlled manner in response to conditions similar to that of the wound after tumor surgery. The smart nanocomposite hydrogel provided potential dressing to prevent tumor recurrence and peritoneal adhesion after abdominal tumor surgery.
