Abstract
AbstractThis chapter analyses the agricultural research, education and extension services in Albania in light of institutional and transitional economic changes. The first part analyses the development of agricultural education, research and extension services, with a focus on the current gaps and challenges. The next section highlights developments in research and extension in other more developed countries that can serve as guiding models for the future development of the extension services in Albania. The last part of the chapter provides policy recommendations for improving Albanian agricultural research and extension services.
