Abstract

The phenomenon of substitution is one of the most important phonetic phenomena in Arabic, and much has been said about it, both ancient and modern. So I decided to write a research on it, aiming to conduct a descriptive and analytical study on the term substitution, its concept, and the method of analyzing it according to one of the commentators, namely Al-Alusi. To clarify his position on him. We decided to limit our research to the well-known and common cases in its interpretation that occurred due to the phonetic relationship between the substitute and its substitute. So we excluded those rare cases that occur between distant sounds that do not have a phonetic vowel between them, and we limited ourselves to sounds with united exits, close ones, and in the case of not The presence of an output relationship led us towards the acoustic characteristics of the two replaced sounds.
