Abstract

This article from the journal Group. Interaction. Organisation. aims to identify structural changes and their determinants in early education organisations, in a next step, to show which challenges are associated with this for daycare providers. In addition, it will be shown how these changes take place and which areas of tension become apparent. The project TrEiKo is investigating these questions on the basis of a mixed-methods design. It shows that daycare providers are faced with a variety of implementation dilemmas, but that despite the many challenges, they are characterised by a comparatively low degree of active shaping and development control.
