Abstract

The SDG's concept is a global development agenda by prioritizing the importance of a sustainable life in all elements of living things and the environment so that it will be beneficial for future generations. Along with technological developments, the SDG's concept must also be balanced with technology integration while paying attention to environmental sustainability. The agricultural sector as a base sector in Indonesia is important to pay attention to in environment-based development. The contribution of the agricultural sector which is sufficient to dominate the GDP and GRDP components requires a special strategy. The purpose of this study is to simulate a strategy in the development of the agricultural sector based on agro-industry so that it is able to encourage the independence of the agricultural sector. Literature studies are used to answer problems with various related references to simulate an efficient and effective strategy based on the SDG's concept. The simulation results show that the main strategy carried out in agro-industry-based agricultural development has 4 main points, including agricultural institutional patterns, human resource competence, investment and an effective and efficient environment-based management system for crop production.
