Abstract
Abstract Agrapha Iesou refers to sayings of the earthly Jesus which are not included in the earliest versions of the canonical gospels (Hofius 1991: 336). Noncanonical and extracanonical sayings of Jesus are alternative designations. The term agrapha assumes that the sayings go back to the pre‐written, oral stage of tradition, though that cannot be held for much of the material.
