Abstract

A model about Suzuki phase formation in Alkali Halides doped with divalent cationic impurities is presented. It considers rearrangement of small aggregates as dimers and trimers. Experimental data of Suzuki phase nucleation at room temperature in NaCl:Cd 2+ corroborate this model.
