Abstract
Reflecting on the immense potential of the gut microbiome, the governing board created the AGA Center for Gut Microbiome Research and Education. In the coming years, we expect the microbiome discoveries to drive clinical advances. Dr Gail Hecht is active in this area and serves on the center’s scientific advisory board, which guides AGA’s strategic work in this area.
