Abstract
In response to a recent survey of AGA clinician members, the AGA is developing a new educational offering for GI clinicians, which will be called the AGA Clinical Congress. The Congress will be held December 9–11, 2005, at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa, Hollywood, Florida. Topics to be addressed during the general sessions include: •Achieving and maintaining remission in Crohn’s disease•Barrett’s esophagus•Bench to bedside in irritable bowel syndrome•Colorectal cancer: new screening methods•Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease•Biliary imaging: ERCP vs MRCP vs EUS•Practice management issues In addition to the general sessions, small group sessions covering a variety of relevant topics will be offered, enabling attendees to customize their meeting based on topics of relevance to their practices. Practical solutions to current treatment challenges will be offered. A finalized program and registration information will be available on the AGA Web site, www.gastro.org, in April 2005.
