Abstract

Herein, Ag-doped ZrO2 nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized by hydrothermal method for diesel soot oxidation. The soot oxidation temperature increased and decreased for ZrO2 NPs and Ag-doped ZrO2 NPs, respectively with increasing sintering temperature. Better thermal stability of Ag-doped ZrO2 NPs catalysts can be obtained by adjusting the sintering temperature for soot oxidation reaction. Low-contain (0.9 wt%) Ag-doped ZrO2 with unique processing will be provided for saving precious metal amount in particulate matter (PM) treatment system.
