AbstractAll buildings have an impact on us, whether seeing and navigating through and around them for the first time or frequently. Their materiality interacts with us and the streetscape, contributing to our internal and external, sometimes received narrative. David Goldblatt, Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at Denison University in Ohio, explains this complex interrelationship and contemplates the effect new materiality might have on this symbiosis.
