Abstract

Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most common and lethal primary malignant brain tumor, which is classified as World Health Organization(WHO)IV grade.The high vasculature of GBM is correlated with its poor prognosis.Therefore, anti-angiogenesis treatment has become the hot spot and achieved a certain therapeutic effects.However, anti-angiogenesis therapies have not evidently increased the patients’ overall survival rates.Tumor microenvironment shows close relations with resistance against such therapies.Better understanding of anti-angiogenesis resistance is attributive to promote patients’ prognosis.This review describes the recent progression of anti-angiogenesis therapies and possible resistance in GBM.
