Abstract
Triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells(TREM-1)is a new cellular surface molecule.It belongs to immune globin superflamily and its member includes TREM-1,TREM-2,TREM-like transcript(TLT)-1 and TLT-2.TREM-1 mainly expressed on neutrophils and mature monoeytes as well as macrophages. It is in coordination with the signal pathway mediated by Toll-like receptors,enhances the production of pro-inflammatory factors such as TNF-α and IL-β,amplifies the inflammatory reaction. Meanwhile.these factors chemotaets lyphocytes,which indicates the role of TREM-1 in adaptive immunity.This article reviews the progress of TREM-1 and its role in sepsis.
