Advance in propofol infusion syndrome

Abstract

Propofol infusion syndrome (PIS) is potential to occur during propofol anesthesia, which may be induced by propofol via either direct inhibition of mitochondrial respiratory chain or impairment of mitochondrial fatty acid metabolism.
