Abstract

The results of the study indicated the significant adsorption interaction of the components in the adsorbent—adsorbate, adsorbate—adsorbate system. In ultrafiltration of low-molecular-weight components of curd whey on cellulose acetate membranes, adsorption makes a certain contribution to retention of dissolved (or disperse) particles by the membrane, confirmed by the data from calculating the thermodynamic adsorption functions of the lactose—water—cellulose diacetate model system at 293 K.
