Abstract
The adsorption of T1(I) on the Hg electrode in the thiocyanate—trifluoracetate media is studied by double-step chronocoulometry. The adsorption amount increases with the concentration of thiocyanate and decreases when the potential becomes anodic. The results indicate that the species adsorbed is TlSCN, and that no bridge mechanism takes place, as would be expected in adsorption induced SCN −.
