Abstract

Resumen: La presencia física del emperador Adriano en Grecia fue un hecho irrepetible, extraordinario para sus súbditos. En Delfos, la ciudad declaró sagrados los días que el emperador estuvo entre sus habitantes. El entusiasmo griego por la presencia y la labor del emperador provocó que lo reconociesen como un dios en vida. En conexión con esto, una nueva lectura de estos “días sagrados” muestra la emoción y el sincero sentimiento de gratitud de los delfios hacia la actividad de Adriano en su ciudad.Abstract: Emperor Hadrian’s physical presence in Greece was a unique, extraordinary event for his subjets. At Delphi, the city proclaimed sacred the days that the emperor was among its inhabitants. Greek enthusiasm for emperor’s works and presence provoked they acknowledged him as a living god.
