Abstract

This study aimed to determine farmers’ adoption level towards combining harvesters on rice farmer groups in Ujong Tanoh Village, Setia District, Aceh Barat Daya Regency. The research sample used Sample Random Sampling amounted to 66 people. The data collection technique is a closed questionnaire that is structured (arranged) and contains questions that must be filled in by each respondent; the analysis method used in this study is a categorical method. Based on the results of research on the level of adoption of combined harvester innovations in Ujong Tanoh Village, Setia District, Aceh Barat Daya Regency can be categorized as follows: The level of adoption of innovations in the Awareness Stage (medium), Desire Stage (high), Evaluation Stage (medium), Trying Stage (medium), and Adoption Stage (high). Rice farmers have a good perception of the Combine Harvester. Farmers think that the use of a Combine Harvester can reduce labor costs, speed up harvest time, and get more optimal results. The findings can be utilized to support the promotion of policies and initiatives aimed at fostering the widespread adoption of agricultural machinery, including combined harvesters. These efforts are crucial in driving agricultural modernization and improving the overall well-being of farmers in Ujong Tanoh Village.
