Abstract
The subject of the analysis consists in the sources concerning the ballet Pan Twardowski by Adolf Sonnenfeld. On the basis of the surviving description of the performance from 1898 and the piano excerpts of selected ballet scenes, conclusions were drawn about the Warsaw composer’s work as another variant of the popular Polish legend.
