Abstract
Background: Early diagnosis and surgical intervention for adnexal torsion (AT) increases the likelihood of ovarian salvage. The COVID-19 pandemic has introduced barriers that may delay time from symptom onset to intervention due to delayed presentation and requirement for COVID-19 testing preoperatively. The objective of this study was to determine any differences in ovarian salvage rates during the COVID-19 pandemic in a pediatric & adolescent gynecology (PAG) population compared to prior to the pandemic.
