Abstract

Our goal is to develop a single treatment nonsurgical method of female permanent contraception. We have shown that transcervical administration of polidocanol foam (PF) can block the fallopian tubes of rhesus macaques without adverse nontarget effects, but multiple treatments are required. The objective of this study was to determine if administration of depomedroxyprogesterone acetate (DMPA) augments the treatment effect of PF.
