Abstract
In this work we have experimentally measured the adhesion strength of juvenile contacts for metallic films on silicon SiO 2, alkali metal halides and thalium halides. The adhesion energy has been calculated from the strength data using Griffith's approach. This has enabled us to clarify exactly what forces are acting for all contacts as well as to carry out a generalization for different systems.
