Abstract

Gender equality and Inclusion of Women in Development is a debatable issue in policy making, administrative and academic domain. Development is not mere an economic phenomenon, it includes the growth and progress in the whole social system. As we know that, there are discriminations and differentiation on the basis of gender in many areas of life rooted in the Institutions. That can change the economy of the country and affect the overall development. Gender inequality is a major challenge for development. In this background, the Gender in development process has been analyzed in the new paradigm. Gender equality and empowerment of women is essential to economic and social development. Women’s e empowerment is seen today as the most important factor in promoting equality between women and men and it is a prerequisite for the achievement of developmental goals.
