Abstract
The alarming rise in the level of burnout among medical students and residents harms their productivity and the well-being of patients. This perspective elaborates on the rates and contributing factors to burnout in medical education concerning available system factors like work overload, support, and emotional requirements. It suggests strategies to prevent burnout, such as promoting better work-life balance, enriching support measures, improving training models at institutions, introducing and standardizing resilience courses, and supporting changes in a positive environment. As evident, tackling burnout is crucial for promoting and sustaining a strong and caring health workforce.
