Abstract
The paper reports on a new method for solving perturbation problems in the course of production scheduling of cutting operations in the field of machine tool manufacture. It can perform this task by supplementing a previously prepared heuristic scheduling method with an algorithm which optimizes cutting parameters. The advantage of this new method is that one can adapt machining times to actual production situations and therefore meet due dates without a need for overtime operation.
