Abstract
Day by day number of cellular network users is increased and resources are limited therefore the quality of service is reduced. Effective techniques for admitting subscribers into systems, with the available resources must be developed for better quality. For non real time traffic QoS requirement is not strict as it is required for real time traffic calls. So some bandwidth from non real time traffic may be released and used for real time traffic calls. Call admission control algorithm is developed for cellular system i. e. adaptive call admission control algorithm. In adaptive system algorithm bandwidth allocated to the existing call is dynamically adjusted by bandwidth up gradation and degradation. This scheme decreases call blocking probability. Also non adaptive schemes are compared. Thus call admission control schemes is designed to provide quality service and satisfaction to the mobile users.
