Abstract
In order to achieve the goal of fostering morality cultivation, college English must be reformed to meet the new requirements of morality education in foreign language courses. This paper takes Unit 4 in Book 2 of New Target College English: An Integrated course as an example to demonstrate the requirements of adapting textbook content to serving morality education. Its basic principles and methods are as follows :1) to refine the morality themes and determine the teaching objectives; 2) use content-based teaching method to achieve theme-based teaching activities and naturally integrate language ability with morality goals; 3) arrange teaching content around morality themes, and connect online and offline learning activities to introduce and consolidate morality cultivation teaching.
