Abstract

As Science and Technology develop, it needs to improve the curriculum. The change from the 2013 curriculum to a Merdeka curriculum allowed students who implemented the Teaching Skills Practice must be able to adapt according to the competence it has, especially in pedagogical competence as a competency that teachers must have in carrying out their duties and responsibilities. On the other side, there is a gap in material received by students during the course with needs at school, especially at the mover school. This research aims to further analyze the pedagogical competency adaptation of students of Islamic Education of the State University of Jakarta who practice teaching at the mover school, 89 High School in Jakarta. This study used a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observation, and library studies. The informants in this study were three students who were undergoing Teaching Skills Practice activities, two teachers, and eleventh grade students at 89 high school. The pedagogical competency theory used focused on aspects of learning planning, implementation, and evaluation. The results showed that the adaptation of pedagogical competence of PKM PAI UNJ students in teaching practice at SMAN 89 Jakarta in the aspect of learning planning, implementation, and evaluation is considered good, although it takes time to adapt. This finding can be a consideration for the university to provide material on the latest curriculum system, such as at the mover school
