Abstract

This article is devoted to the poorly studied topic of adaptation of Russian, Ukrainian, Poles, Uzbek, Uyghur, Dungan and other ethnic groups in Kazakhstan during the period of the resettlement policy of Tsarism in the 19th - early 20th centuries. Along with the stages of resettlement and the number of immigrants, the process of creating settlements is being consecrated as a necessary condition for collective adaptation to the natural and climatic conditions of Kazakhstan. The relevance of the study is determined by the development and formation in the 19th - 20th centuries diasporas of Kazakhstan, which have become a stable component of the demographic, socio-economic, political and cultural life of the republic, showing an example of the successful adaptation of ethnic groups in the non-cultural environment.
