Abstract

The literature is reviewed, and 2 cases of constrictive pericarditis after acute non-specific pericarditis are presented. Constriction occurred at approximately 8 and 6 1 2 weeks, with pericardiectomy at 13 and 10 1 2 weeks, respectively. The question is raised whether the disease is as rare as was previously believed.
