Abstract

In the distribution network, grounding faults occur frequently because of varied operating environment. With the continuous expansion of the distribution network, the control method of single-phase grounding fault arc suppression based on active inverter is not able to realize the fast and high precise restrain of the fault point current due to the poor dynamic stability of the controller and the uncertainty of the measurement in power distribution network. In this paper, injecting a current into the power system by controlling the active inverter can suppress the current of fault point to zero. And the double closed loop control method of active inverter device was designed, it can suppress faults current quickly and precisely without measuring the system parameters to-ground. Simulation and prototype testing results validated the effectiveness and feasibility of proposed method.
