Abstract

Based on the architecture of 5G cloud radio access network (C-RAN) and according to the characteristics of self-organizing network (SON), this paper designs and implements a cluster based cell outage detection(COD) algorithm for broadband services. A two-layer network scenario for algorithm application is established, and network side and user side parameters are selected as algorithm input sequence. For the parameters, Hierarchical agglomerative clustering algorithm (HAC) framework is adopted, and Mahalanobis distance is used as the basis to measure the similarity between different clusters, and the optimal cluster allocation scheme is obtained by iterative method. Through several simulation experiments, the key parameters of the algorithm are determined, and the accuracy of detecting interrupt cell is stable at 98%. Under the same conditions, compared with other traditional detection methods, the advantages of the proposed algorithm in locating the interrupt cell are demonstrated, which proves its effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed algorithm.
