Abstract

This paper presents a comparison between tow control strategy applied to a doubly fed induction machine (DFIM) for wind generation in a high power system, the first one is based on a classical pi controller and the second one used a fuzzy logic controller. 70% of the power produced is injected directly in the electrical network through the stator winding while 30% of power is transferred to the same grid through the back-to-back converter. The active and reactive power is controlled and the influence of machine parameter variations on system control is investigated. The performance of each controller is tested and analyzed by several tests in simulation using Matlab/Simulink environment.
