Abstract

Abstract Leek moth, Acrolepiopsis assectella (Lepidoptera: Acrolepiidae), native to Europe, is an invasive alien pest of Allium spp. This chapter presents information on the pest status in Canada, followed by a comprehensive background on previous studies on this pest, review of the application of biological control in these programmes (using parasitoids and pathogens), an evaluation of the biological control efforts and future needs in research or implementation activities.
