Abstract
Using the fluid dynamic paradigm, we study acoustic solitons in a dusty plasma with two ion temperatures, using a polytropic equation of state. On the ion‐acoustic timescale we consider a four‐component plasma, with super‐hot electrons and massive dust grains. We find existence regimes for both positive and negative potential solitons and double layers. For dust‐acoustic solitons, we consider a three‐component plasma, with no free electrons, and “super‐hot” hot ions. This model supports both positive and negative potential solitons, unlike a dust‐ion‐electron plasma, that allows only negative solitons.
