Abstract

Acoustic and acoustic-emission properties of an organic glass have been experimentally studied in the region of plastic deformation and destruction threshold under uniaxial stress. It turned out that an abrupt rise in both the longitudinal wave damping and the flux of acoustic emission is caused by the motion of dislocation clusters and indicate the onset of plastic deformation. The elastic constants of the second and third orders in the organic glass have been determined.
