Abstract
Vibrational states in a nanowire superlattice consisting of an alternate stacking of two cylindrical layers are theoretically studied. For azimuthally symmetric torsional modes, the expressions for phonon dispersion relations and transmittance are derived analytically. (© 2004 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
